The national tree of the country of Bahrain. The Date tree is a fruit-bearing palm that produces a staple food throughout the Middle East. This palm is said to also live up to a hundred years but due to how tall they grow, they usually fall over before they reach that age.

The only palm native to the Western United States. The California Fan Palm is a sturdy tree home to different kinds of wildlife. From frogs to birds, they serve as shelter for animals during the hot summers and colder winters. Their fruits ripen and drop as winter approaches, leaving food for animals to enjoy.
